Call for resignation of re-elected LHPA Director

One of the re-elected directors, interim Chairman of Mid Coast LHPA, John Willey was interviewed by Kim Honan on the ABC Local Radio Rural Report on Wednesday, 24 June. During the interview, he refused to accept responsibility for the huge rates increases, saying that he and his board had no choice; they just did what they were forced by the NSW Government to do. On hearing this, I sent an e-mail to the General Manager of Mid Coast LHPA, Mr Rick Matts, which showed that either Mr Willey was incompetent or he had lied to Kim Honan and her listeners. In either case, he had demonstrated that he was unfit to be an LHPA Director and should be called on to resign. I copied the e-mail to Kim Honan who responded by offering me the opportunity to respond to John Willey's remarks on Thursday morning's Rural Report, which I accepted and duly did. You can click here to see the ABC's record of the response and there you can also click on the "MP3" spot to listen to the episode.
